Hisani’s sire is the incredible 2 time unanimous National Champion Stallion Marwan Al Shaqab. His dam is N.Y.N. Imara Versace, an excellent daughter of the beautiful stallion and great sire, Versace. He is bred to be a breeding stallion. As you can see by viewing his pedigree, he is double Fame VF, double El Shaklan and double Ruminaja Ali. He possesses the blood of such great mares as triple crown halter winner Kajora and National Champion WP Jr. Horse Little Liza Fame. Hisani received the best from both sire and dam. He is an extremely tall, leggy stallion with what we all dream of for conformation. His neck surely sets new standards for length and position, his shoulder is correctly sloped, his back is short and tight and his hip is extremely long.
We acquired Hisani on February 1, 2005. He was in training with Michael Byatt. Michael showed him to a Top Ten in Yearling Colts at Scottsdale and then he came home to Kharousel Farm. We thoroughly enjoyed him. He is a kind and loving horse, truly a pleasure to live with. An additional thrill was watching him at play. He has an incredible western lope. I can’t wait to ride him. In July he rewarded us again by being named Champion Yearling Sweepstakes Colt at Region 5 in a very tough class of 17 colts. Ed and I decided we had to give him a shot at the National Show so off he went to Joey Canda for conditioning and training. Michael flew in a couple of times to school him. In Albuquerque, Hisani was a standout. He was named Top Ten in his class and was 3rd overall with placings of 1st, 2nd, and 5th.
Hisani’s first foals arrived in 2007 - four colts and four fillies. We are thrilled with the beauty and quality of these foals. From that first foal crop of only eight, we had a Scottsdale champion, a Regional champion, a Regional Res. Ch., a Regional Top Five and a Regional Top Ten. GH Maryn went on to be a National Top Ten Yearling, 2nd in his age group at Las Vegas as a two year old and then Canadian and US Top Ten Futurity Colt at age three.
Hisani had an incredibly successful year in 2007. He was with Jeff Schall at Shada from June through October. The Schalls find Hisani to be an exciting and beautiful young stallion. They have high expectations for his future in the ring in both Halter and Western Pleasure and as a breeding stallion. In August, their first time in the ring together, Hisani was Canadian National Champion Futurity Colt. In October at U.S. Nationals Hisani was U.S. Reserve National Champion Futurity Colt. He was also the crowd favorite. Hisani generated a lot of interest in Albuquerque and we anticipate a busy breeding season in 2008. Dick Adams of Savannah Bloodstock said "This young stallion may be the "ultimate cross" for Fame VF+ daughters and grandaughters—perpetuating the quality, beauty, athletic ability and disposition of Fame VF+ bred horses."
2008 was an incredibly busy breeding year for Hisani. We have many wonderful young horses showing halter or now preparing for performance from this foal crop.
In’09, ‘10 and ‘11, even with the poor economy, Hisani has continued to breed a good number of mares and we are seeing some awesome youngsters. 2010 was the first year for Hisani foals to debut in performance as three year olds. Bella Fleur earned a Region 4 Top Five in H/A Hunter Pleasure Jr. Horse and Marsani SA was Top Five in the Region 5 WP Futurity and a Finalist at US Nationals. 2011 performance winners include GH Maryn – Region 6 Champion WP AO and Top Five WP Jr. Horse. Hisanis Gold Card – Region 5 Champion H/A WP Futurity. Rousseau KF – Region 4 and 5 Top Five WP Futurity. HH
Meadow – Region 5 Top Five H/A WP Futurity. In halter Hisani winners included Bellasina – Region 8 Champion Mare and Champion 2 Year Old Filly. Rolls Royce – Region 17 Champion 2 Year Old Colt. GH Markaine – Region 5 Res. Ch. Stallion. RA Athena – Region 14 Res. Ch. Mare. Divine Miss M – Region 2 Res. Ch. Yearling Sweeps. Filly. ROL Eye Of The Storm – Region 4 and 5 Top Five Yearling Sweeps. Colt. Thor Hisani – Region 5 Top Five Yearling Sweeps. Colt. Alter Ego – Region 10 Top Five Gelding.
2010 was also Hisani’s first year under saddle. He is training with Ron Copple. Since he did not have a Junior Horse year we opted to show him Hunter PL. He won the Open Hunter Championship at his first show and was Res. Ch. at his second show. He then started working toward his Western Pleasure debut. He will show in Open Western with Ron Copple in 2011.
Scottsdale 2011 was Hisani’s first show as a western horse. He won the Maiden Horse WP. He now has 3 Class A Championships and was the Region 5 Res. Champion in WP.
Hisani is a Scottsdale Signature Stallion and a Minnesota Medallion Stallion. Thanks to those of you who cheered for him in the stands or from home during his wins at Canadian and U.S. Nationals.
